Most surface mount components,i.e resistors,ic's(chips),trannies,caps are encapsulated in resin or plastic so will be fine.Things most prone to damage are lcds,speakers,piezos and connectors.Just use a cotton bud with distilled water,and buy a micro vac from maplin electronics or rs for about 7 or 8 gbp.
