I have found that the unit is happier with a NiMh battery rather than alkaline, which seems odd. I originally used Sony alkaline batteries which lasted 1h30m - 2h only, but recently bought a couple of rechargeable Duracell NiMh batteries. The Duracell batteries are rated at 750mAh, but having kept a track of how long the first one has lasted for, it managed 4h05m (using the player for 30-60 mins at a time).
With NiMh, the battery indicator didn't show full even when the battery was freshly charged. I guess that's something to do with the lower voltage of the rechargeable though.
On another matter, does anyone know a good way of creating ATRAC files from an Audio CD, and then saving to a MS Duo?
