He didn't send it, you didn't send it! Period. You both failed!
As far as i'm concerned you didn't act better than him.
And my consideration for him (when i know who he is) is the same as the one i have about you.

You might also accept this kind of dilemma if you hade made some deals with guys from the Asian continent/Russia/Africa where stricken poverty nations apply - though not all, as their postal system have cunning/calculating 'vultures' (employees) around
As @sammy_boy would have lamented it perfectly, every 'STORY' has 2 sides, why not let the offended party tell his other-half of the scenario
