@jowi - 'Infra Red' in a few more years time will be a thing of the past, 'Bluetooth' technology is what's - 'IN'
!
Though I guess that SE P900 still outbest the Nokia 7610 - in over all specs and features
SE K700/i is what the Nokia 7610 can be compared to right now . . . Features wise though, I'll still go for the SE K700/i model-minus the bugs
!
SE S700 will be matched with that of the soon-to-be-released Nokia 6630
!

Considering the proliferation of new SE fone models out in the market: SE Z1010, K700, P900, P910, S700 et al., which SE does not usually do in the past
Looks like SE is following the marketing strategy of that of Nokia - releasing new fone models - continuously

P900 is already out of production.
K700/K500 needs to replace sales of the T610/T630
T100/T105 is also disaparing from the market
Z200/Z600 will be replaced by the Z500
hmm don't have much faith in it.

The nokia 7610 has poor 176*208 pixel sceen & no IRDA port.This is little better than the K700,and no match for the P900.The standard screen resolution for a smartphone is 176*220 pixels,and at this resolution the screen cannot be as large as that in the 7610 for the picture to be sharp ! You can see the individual pixels on the 7610 screen,just as with the 6600,no improvement in technology,a true nokia product!

Sure, your mate can say his 7610 is better than your p900. Then you can mention that it 'only' took Nokia 1 year to catch up to SEs flag ship phone. :-D

Hello fellow esato's
I have renewed my phone's contract and got a new phone, after lot of rechearching and reading phone specs and reviews, i decided to go with the best phone that is available in the shop at this moment (Orange NL).
I took the Nokia 7610, i must say i was never a big fan of Nokia, and basicly was slacking it all the time.
But now i am a verry happy camper!!!
This phone is trully amazing and does all i ever needed in a mobile phone... plus more
I asked about the S700 , they didn't have it yet, and the guy told me it was basicly a beefed up K700 with better camera, screen and memory capabilities...
And to those that slack the Nokia 7610 regarding to it's out of the box specs, remember this is a Symbian based phone, anything that it can't do straight out of the box , there's probably already a program for it out there that you can install on it.
Yessss, finally customised phone sounds for all contacts wihooooooooo
(i know P900 is a nice alternative, but i'm not so fond of the P900)
