yep, there is a red LED, no green LED, it is just the backlight refelcting through the top of the phone. Hence why when the screen light is off, there is no green light at the top of the phone.

i have to say i am having loads of fun going back to the simplicity of life using my k700 as opposed to p900 on matter what colour the lights. I would like my page scroll and always on csd back though please se. My t68 had it for heaven sakes.

I think... those three LEDs are definitely backlight. It was hidden there because we're not supposed to see them (duh). It is placed at the top edge of the screen and the light is projected and spread evenly throughout the backpanel of the LCD. It is not green. It is white (or bluish). You see green because it passes through the LCD layer which is greenish. On some SE-K700 the top slit where you can see the LEDs are a bit wider and it escapes the LCD layer so you will see white light.
