I don't know if this answer has anything to do with your question, but on the .pdf file it says, for R2L: SEMC-Browser/4.0.1 and for R2T: SEMC-Browser/4.0.2, so there is an improvement in something, though I don't know what it is.

SEMC stands for Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications and Browser is presumably the WAP browser. I assume they have made improvements to the browser! I only hope I can now get to the Results page of Google rather than having to do an 'I'm feeling lucky'!!!
My main use for the SE web browser is to do searches, and the output of all the popular search engines fails to display on the K700 (at least R1A, which is all I have at the moment!).
