Thanks for creating this thread, that's a really useful summary.
I've not bothered upgrading my firmware (still on R1A081) because I'm just too lazy. I think now is the time to do it though because I'll probably sell the phone soon, and that'll be an easier task if I can say that it's all up to date.
One question regarding the developer's firmware though: I've heard rumours that it automatically sends a text message to SE when you boot your phone so that they can keep track of unauthorised usage. Is this true, or is it just a scare tactic that's been put out there by someone to prevent people installing it?

i have a t-mobile t610 imported from the US and now using in India.
If i update the firmware will the t-mobile branding go away ?
Any other problems might occur ?
the current firmware in the phone is r1s001.

hey i went to the service center and he said he cannot upgrade the firmware of the t-mobile branded set !
He said that some error in detecting the mobile is occuring.
Is this always the case or is this guy doing something wrong ?
Has anybody upgraded their t-mobile or any other brand T-610 to SE's firmware ? Please help.

I've got r4c003 fw and don't have problem with closing gprs after leaving this programme.I've never;heard about it it's a bug.
