@Whiz,

Buy the AMD. Save your money for the P910 or S700, and you will have two great things.

Just my opinion.

Here is your thread back.

@Whiz,

Getting a Mac is probably the best advice that Kimcheeboi can give you and the most intelligent thing that I have ever seen him post. I got rid of all of my Windoze boxes, kept my one Linux box and bought a G4 PowerBook. If you can afford it, get the Mac for sure. Start out with maybe an iMac or something in your price range if possible. If money is no object, get the G5 PowerMac.

Thanks Shyam, but do i really need those stuff? Only the PCI express sounds appealing to me. I ain't gonna use my PC for extreme gaming and processor intensive stuff. So is it worth spending money on too much stuff which i don't really need? @Kim, Macs are good but very expensive here. And they don't have any service centres near to my place. So if something goes wrong... I would be marooned! This message was posted from a T230

@wiz: If you want more power of the price go for AMD but quality go for Intel - which OS are you going to run?

PS
@sapporobaby - You'd suit a Corvette

@Shyman

Mac-clones could be the answer. Mainly you want to be able to install Mac OSX. The components are pretty much the same. I just installed a larger HD in my PB so I know that building a Mac could be cheaper than purchasing one.
