The P900 is more expensive than the 6600 because it is a superior smartphone, it is really that simple. The P900 is designed for and aimed at business users who need a powerful smartphone to serve various business needs and who don't mind paying a bit more to get it. If someone cannot afford the P900 or doesn't need its functionality then they should buy something else, I don't see why you are making an issue of its price; if one cannot afford an Aston Martin would would buy a cheaper car.
The 6600 may very well be soutselling the P900, but quantity is no measure of quality in this case. To continue the car analogy, Ford vastly outsells Aston Martin, but I know, which one I would rather have. The 6600 isn't a terrible smartphone, but it isn't as good as the P900; this isn't just the opinion of a 'diehard SE fan', if you would care to peruse many of the reviews both of these devices have had you would see that the P900 is consistently rated above the 6600.
SE customers tend to be people looking to utilise the various features SE mobiles provide; Nokia customers tend to be the large number of people that have little interest in a mobile's features, instead they simply want a device capable of making phone calls and sending texts. Nokia is facing some serious competition, not just from SE, because they have been too stagnant, they constantly release 'new' mobiles, which are based on an old design, but given a 'lick of paint'. The biggest asset Nokia has at the moment is brand recognition, this is what keeps them in their position as the leading mobile manufacturer, but they could loose that recognition if they don't start innovating again, not with whacky designs, but with styles and features that customers actually want.

i did not say the P900 is not more advanced. at 3 times the price of 6600 it better be. but does the P900 have 3 times more function? i dont think so. in fact you cannot count too many things the P900 can do that the 6600 cannot.
u seems to be using the same rhetoric that every SE fan use - to quote you:

so how is T610 to T630 or P800 to P900 to P910 any different?
Nokia has a range of affordable (and practical) smartphones for the masses. SE does not. And Nokia is selling 8-10 times more smartphone. And that's the fact.

SE's product line is incomplete. SE has covered the top layers of the market (pda-like phones, expensive full-featured phones) and has a moderate covering of the budget phones (t100 and t230) but has *nothing* in between.
SE has nothing to compete with in the €150-190 price range, while Siemens and Nokia (in fact most other companies) are very strong in that range having at least two models. There are a lot of people prepared to pay up to €190 for a camera phone but not €290 for a camera phone with whistles and bells. If they want it to look un-nokia they buy a Siemens.
Also SE has no slim clamshell phone, like the Motorola's or the Samsungs or even the new Siemens.
So SE does not have the edge over any other brand. SE has to complete their product line fast. The K500 and z500 are missed chances. SE is becoming too expensive.

I have to say only one thing...is there any forum like Esato for nokia where people can share their thoughts and knowledge. I am not saying that Nokia is a bad phone but do people have that passion for their nokia phones like we have for our SE phones.?

I haven't looked but I bet there isn't. But SE won't be able to survive on only a small group of aficionados. A company does not need lovers but customers.
Look at the new Motorola v150, that is a killer phone, as simple as it si. v180: complete phone, very sleek, very low price. Beliefve me this is the phone your girlfriend want in her bag. Stylish, clamshell, small, decent looking. 65k screen and IR and BT are not an issue.
The whole 60-series of Siemens is very strong and it has a eye-cathing recogniseable Siemens-look and a model for every purse. SE has *nothing* to compete. The z220 is way to bulky, the others are too expensive.
But maybe the SE-clientèle does not want too many people to walk around with a SE phone?
And what was the market share of SE?

the existence of this forum is not at all a merit of

in any way. Nor does it necessarily help selling

products...(every single product is bound to get bashed in more than one way on here as well......) which in the end is all that matters to

don't you think?

I reckon (as do most people who know a little about phones) that

are for the more serious phone users, people who actually care, while people that just want a phone think "sod it, i'll get another nokia". There are vast amounts of people like that, and, in comparison, not many poeple who know their product, and choose according to their needs. The 6600 outsells the pxx simply because everyone thinks nokia is the bees knees, the uneducated fools

Its designed for a different market, its designed for average joe who wants something a little more flashy. The p900 is for the serious business user, i dont think they really should be compared. Compare the pxx to the 9xxx, maybe, but not the 6600.
