im a proper lager boy. its carling extra cold all the way, if they havent got it then carlsberg. when i go to spirits its smirnoff and a splash of orange.
the best lager i have ever tasted is rolling rock, but its only available in bottles and not many places stock it in our town

Rolling Rock is really good, but as you say, its hard to get hold of. I'm more partial to Heavy than lager, but i do like rolling rock and Kronenbourg.

I have to agree with blackspot, it depends on the occassion;
Afternoon refreshment - gin and tonic or scotch (Laphroig or Johnny Walker Red Label) or perhaps a Guinness
Before Dinner - gin martini (twist, no olive and stirred, not shaken)
With Dinner - wine, Red (Chateneuf du Pape or St. Emillion), White (Montrachet)
After Dinner - port, cognac
Evening - scotch (Laphroig or Johnny Walker Red Label)
Special Occassion - champagne (Pol Roger)
