why are some people still even comparing these 2 phones ?
and why are some still on this stupid T630 quest ?
(me shakes his head)

Aquila2 even said they were basically the same, a T630 on steroids ?
How much nonsense is that

#Aquila2 and bobafett - no offence but I gotta say I have a hard time understanding your agenda on this subject - allways trying to hype the T630 over the K700. Sometimes you make me wonder if anyone of you even ever tried a K700 irl.

They are nowhere nearly the same - and k700 is not just a T630 on stereoids - its 500 times more.

Sure - If all you care for is making calls, writing sms, and if its black or white - then go for the T630, no reason to ever spend a penny on anything else.

But if you have the slightest interest in what else you can do with the phone - theres no comparison at all and even considering the T630, let alone for people to keep hyping this as "the same" is utter nonsense.

K700 is a not just some small update - its a completely new platform - that has been improved in so so many ways.

The list of changes, improvements and posibillities on the K700 over the T630 is so long I hardly know where to begin

Camera on T630 is useless at best - K700 camera is very good for a VGA cam and quite usable

The memoryincrease from 2 to 41 mb alone makes a world of difference and gives a freedom you can even begin to think of on the T630 - Im able to carry 80 highQ javagames, a large number of mp3 ringtones, a large number of themes, a couple of vids, a couple of hundreds pictures and still have 4times the memory of T630 left on my phone - compared to the 5 crappy javagames, 10 crappy pictures, a few lousy polytones and a couple of themes on the T630.

The javaengine are so much more powerfull in the K700 that even comparing java games on these 2 phones is a laugh

General speed of sms etc. are way improved
Screenquality are way improved
Theming are way improved
K700 offer highquality playback of mp3, AAC, 176x144 pixels mp4/3gp with HighQ AAC audio (a uniqe feature not found in any other brand) - as well as 176x144 videorecording unlimited in time. None of this is supported on T630
Native HID profiles support
Wast improvements in UIQ
Improvements in contactbook
Larger sms storage and contactbook
Excellent buildquality (Id say better than T630 any day)
etc
etc

Anyone can argue that they like the design of T630 better (personally I dont, I allways found the design of T630 to be one of the worst designs from S//E ever) - thats a matter of taste - and naturally if thats all you care for then grab a T630 - but giving the impression that they are almost the same is simply not telling the truth to those that ask.

@aquila2,

are you serious? the k700 obviously has more features than the T630... but whatever.

Kooki, personally, i think the k700i is very decent looking, sure it's not as sleek and simple looking as the T630, but i believe it's features compensate for that. That's just my opinion. I currently have a T616, and i plan on buying the k700i pretty soon though! If they could have put the k700i hardware in a T630 body/case, that would have been awesome!

If you need me to make up your mind for you, then i'll say buy it.

The t630 is a great phone, i recommend it to many of my friends and work mates who is uppgrading their old phones mostly Nokia 3510i, as it has become very cheap prepaid in Sweden!
But for someone who takes great interesst in mobilephones the t630 is a pain compared to the k700, the k700 throws the t630 back to the stoneage in almost everyway no doubt about it!
I can't really understand the hype for t630s looks it is really a a messed upp t610 with a cheap plastic housing, i wouldent say that the k700 is the best looking phone ever but compared too the t630 it grabs soo much more positive attention!!

Kooki,

Prior to my latest purchase I had a T610, perhaps not as nice to look at as the T630 but in terms of funtionality as far as I understand pretty much the same phone other than a few menu tweaks and an improved screen. Now the T630 would be a sound buy for anyone who just wants a quality phone to talk, do sms and change the odd wallpaper now and again. Is this what you want ?

Personally, having used my K700 for a month or so now, having taken some great snaps played a large number of games including 3d pool, splinter cell's latest offering,X111, footie and a superb golf game to name but a few. Loaded some of my fav mp3's which sound great as ringtones. Downloaded animated themes not to mention Kylies underware commercial, which went down a treat down the pub. I have used the LED light in several low light situations where my T610 would've failed to pickup a shot worth keeping, also used the led light as a torch, have used the hands free option oh, and have listened to the radio and media player on serveral occasions.

The menu's are enhanced the screen rates among one of the best on the market everything about the phone is quality. It makes me smile when I use it and I would say that i'm not easily impressed. The more time I spend using it the more I tap myself on the shoulder for choosing this over the V3 and 6230.

Something also worth mentioning is that there are full housings available already for the K700 available and no doubt Black casings will become available if not already if thats what you want to do with it, personally I think the 3 tone finish on my K700 is spot on and oozes quality.

At the end of the day it's you decision, but if i were you and the finances were not really an issue then a K700 would have to be one !
