For this week I used outlook to export a CSV file with basic info which can then be imported to the Motorola mobile PhoneTools and that can then be synched with the phone
I have ordered the
PC220 software (with a full version of mobile PhoneTools) from the
UK motorola site and this supports Outlook directly but as usual I won't get that until I get home at the weekend
I didn't try synching from P910 or K700 because the export, import worked so well

Ok I tried this from the P910 and the K700 and got the same results on both from that you saw.
Transferring individual contacts worked fine though

Thanks for that...v.helpful.
I dont really fancy transferring 560 names and nos individually but like you im due to keep this V3 baby for quite a while!
If i remember it did work trandferring from a k700 to v3 via BT so might give this a go later today. Wish me luck!! lol

I have sold my V3 to a friend, but im getting a nother one on upgrade this week. Just wondering if you record voice tags on the V3 does it play them before the phone starts ringing like on many of the SE phones?
PS to those thinking of getting a V3....get it, its fantastic!
I will def be using my P900 as a business phone for email/PDA/Calender and notes/tasks. Then I have my V3 purely for voice calls and as a phone to take out in the evenings!!! This combo will stick around for quite some time with me I think!

it doesn't play the name in the phone when the call comes in. I haven't tried the phone with a headset yet so can't comment on that.
I will be pairing and testing my HBH-660 with it at the weekend when I hand over my P910 which I sold yesterday meaning I am exclusively back to my iPAQ again which is great!
btw I really like the default ring tone "hello moto"

scared the hell out of me first time I heard it

I quite liked the look of the V3 until I saw your comparison pics. The thing is MASSIVE. Talking on one would be like holding an open tube map to your face.
Still, I've got a fetish for metal phones, so might sneak down to Carphone Warehouse and fondle the dummy for a bit.

dunno about MASSIVE but it is wider than the K700 and a few mm narrower than the P910 but that is more than made up by its slimness. as you can see here, it fits nicely into the palm and I don't have big hands.
I'd definitly suggest handling it yourself before being put off by my pics

Ha ha its seems quite funny that so many people who have a P900/P910 are choosing the V3 as a second phone to use in the evenings etc. Wise choice young jedi's!!!
