Well as i've always said there's no perfect phone, every customer yearns for more feautres hence higher price. I always make it a point to buy a phone after say 4 months after its release or wait for a new model to come out so the price would be somewhat cheaper!...Oh yeah I still remember the 3650-3660 upgrade, only the keyboard got upgraded!

That's why you gotta take your time when desition comes. I'm on that now, and there's no need to rush, otherwise you can finish with a phone that is a pain, or you don't like.

I think you should consider what REVOLUTIONARY phones there were instead and you will see that there was indead very very few throughout history. IMHO: SE P800 and T68i were REVOLUTIONARY, N7650 was R EVOLUTIONARY and so was the first Siemens MP3 phone. All other phones have been EVOLUTIONARY, i.e. boring

I don't quite understand this obsession some people have with deriding SE because they release mobile phones that don't have 40 GB hard drives; processors capable of a teraflop; holographic displays; flux capacitors; teleporters; in-built toasters; washer-dryers; DVD players; particle accelerators; ray guns; fridges; desk lamps; microscopes; space capsules capable of atmospheric re-entry; guitars; hedge trimmers; luggage compartments; waffle makers; kennels for one's dog when one is away; lasers; orange peelers; enough RAM to run a marathon; scratchproof screens able to withstand a bullet; the abilty to transform into open top sports cars; bottles of orange squash for hot days; dinner suits for impromtu gala evenings out; cases made of the same material used for the space shuttle; cold fusion reactors and any number of other rediculous features.
SE make good quality mobiles, which include a number of excellent features. No manufacturer will ever make the perfect mobile, to say that this is a sign of a company being 'boring' is nonsense.

imo, SE is just like any of the other manufacturers just trying to get a piece of the mobile market. it doesnt really have a good product range. In fact, it is quite vulnerable because SE depends on "star performer" to see thru (e.g. T610 or K700). If this "star performer" doesnt perform as expected, well u figure it out.

They have their reasons. Surely, fantasy isnt a criteria when you are looking for usable phones, not just phones that are catered to a small target group.

SE have been targeting the mid to high-end areas of the market, but they now seem to be moving towards targeting the entire market, which should help them improve their market share.
