Exactly. We have decided to make these purchases against purchasing something else. So there has to be something positive about it. It is given that nothing is perfect, well God and the smile of ones baby girl. Other than that, the jihad for perfection goes on. As I said before, let's hear something positive for once. It would be fair to say that a positive nature is lacking in this forum. People just come here to vent and dump. Makes the place drab and lifeless with the continual negativity.

@sapporo - I'm with you on this one! I've been getting quite sick of seeing thread with titles like 'why can't se make a perfect phone?', and 'why are se so boring', 'is there something wrong with se', and so on. And on. And on again.
Of course, I accept that
aren't perfect, e.g. k700 software bugs, little difference between P900/P910, etc etc. But then again other manufacturers have these problems, like the Nokia 6230 had a load of software bugs in it when that was first released I believe.
But, I don't lose any sleep over these things, and certainly don't waste too much of my life whining about it. A bit of perspective people here - we are phone nuts, but I think some people take it a bit too seriously and a bit too far. I'm sure we all have better things to do than discuss in very minute detail over 1,000 posts why there isn't much difference between a T610 and a T630, etc etc.

Sure it had a few glitches, but
was great about taking care of me. I had a few firmware related issues and rather than send me all over creation searching for a place to flash the phone for me they simply swapped me phones. I haven't really had any complaints since.
Now I am switching to P910a and I expect the same sort of experience. Maybe a few bumps at first, but
will correct those and I'll be left with a phone that will keep me content for quite some time.

I think that statement really sums things up very nicely indeed.

There is nothing wrong with discussion, but I agree with the sentiment that recently it has turned from valid discussion into general moaning.

There is nothing wrong with debate and stating one's opinions, but if you look at some recent threads, there has been a good bit of moaning for moaning's sake. Threads often start out well, with the possibility of a good debate, but they can turn into pointless arguing and petty point scoring.

I bought the 7610 but EVERYONE had it, so I dumped it from this little piece of marvel.
Now I've got a p905 and an S700 always with me. So they're either commenting on one or the other!

i do agree that people should be realistic over phones. however i do think that alot of the so called negativity has come about because many on this site have been overly negative about competitors (to the point of lies in some cases)
yes this is an se site but many people are member s not just se fans.
possibly some of those memebers have taken exception and started to put forward there own view and versions of the truth
i have to say esato has become more intresting over the last few months with some of the lively debates. yes some of these do drag on and could die out after a page or 2.
but i like the fact that we get to see a few different sides instead of just se is great look at my se rose tinted spec.that not saying we should slag them off and fail to see the excellent things.
i think any company could do with seeing what its good at and what its not so good at so it can improve itself
