but if a topic is locked it says-
"New Topic >> " and then some dodgy graphic of the words "Post Reply" with a line drawn through it. looks very unproffesional, maybe it looks ok in whatever browser you use, but not everyone uses the same browser and it looks plain crap.

There is ONE thing on wap that does not work very well imho:
when I open wap.esato.com on my phone, I get the main page menu.
So far so good. When I then select the link
Forums XHTML I get the an error
When you then select forums wap/wml you do seem to get to the xhtml forum anyway... (maybe coz the phone does wap 2.0??
)as you get still use the 'shortcuts' like 0 for last post and such which weren't available on the wml version if I remember correctly.
Hope that clarifies what's wrong with the link.
Images are from a wap emulator so may be lsightly different on the phone, but link does not work.

Vlametje you get that error (wrong content type) because that WAP emulator doesn't suport that mime type..

Wether you think it looks terrible or not, there is a reason for this one; It's to clearly indicate that the topic is locked for replies so you don't waste any more time and GPRS/WAP time on it.
At least you won't miss it the way it looks now.

@DSL: the wapsilon emulator only reports critical errors, not minor errors like characters. Use www.w3schools.com/wap/wml_validate.asp for true wml error checking. If my site has some error that wapsilon doesn't warm about, my phone dies, and the validator tells me the true error.
