What is a 'lucky' number in your country? The nearest I can say for mine is 777 777. I also hope I am not going off topic...

a "lucky" number is one that is easy for your friends to remember. I put absolutely no stock in the idea that fortune will smile upon you because your number happens to be all 3s or 8s.
The only luck that my so-called "lucky" number has brought me is that everyday I get at least one call from someone who has mis-dialed and added a 3 or an 8 here or there. I wouldn't call this luck though, as no attractive women have accidentally called me looking for a date.

Yeah, I have heard stories of people paying huge amounts over here in the UK for mobile numbers like that. A popular one tends to be the named number. For instance riflogic would be 74356448.
