Anyway 2 options... let this thread continue with foolish remarks...or lock it? Masseur you decide I did what I needed to do and got what I needed to know and thats good enough for me.

I personally don't think so, cause I flashed my T610 and srewed it up once, and I went to SE, and they told me it was my own fault and they wouldn't replace my unit...

For your info I have a Z1010 and I am quite happy with it..I just bought the V800 because its winter and I like my phones to match what I wear... Plus you missed the most important factors of 3g phones video calling (I dont remember posting that I didnt want that feature) I have separates to do all these things for me and I will stick with my 5Mp digi cam and my 620Mhz Fujitsu Siemens LOOX 720 (P.s that has a 1Mp camera at the back)..and all the other seperates in my life..
well i guess you have the red version...
anyway good for you that you have a z1010 but i don't get your point about videocalling, as far as i saw and tested on the z1010 the videocall was quite good... though it doesn't have a flash but then again you can't use flash if you have a z1010 fw on a v800....
so again i don't see anything that you would gain from v800....
but i have to say that i haven't tested the v800 yet as i'm not with vodafone and it seems like it isn't out yet here....

Do we think there will ever be unbranded SE f/w for the V800?
Surely there will be after an initial period of Vodaphone exclusivity

Put it this way if you want to use the flash when you making a Video call then good luck as its bright as hell. I am certain that you will cause some serious damage to the eye after a little while...

There's no point now in argueing what features u'd miss by havin Z1010 f/w cos it didn't work
It will be interesting to see if Voda replace the phone though, I think the fact that it won't boot up works in your favour

Oh I already got the replacement this afternoon, went into the store and within 5 minutes he gave me a new one and also the unlock code so yeah not a problem at all.
