Yesterday Orange wire free technical support told me that they DO NOT support the SE update service for the P910i and thats why it does'nt work! is this a wind up or what? Only last week they told me to download the latest software version via the SE website if experiencing problems with this phone, so clearly it is possible to do the update as many Orange customers have indeed used this service successfully. i give up!

I can only say this is a "wind up" as I have an Orange-branded P910i and have updated it using the SEUS without a problem.

If its any help, I'm on Orange and upgraded with SE's latest firmware without difficulty.
So far, it has worked fine, although there have been a few gremlins in trying to get Duality to work. More importantly, since the download on Monday, my 910 has yet to crash as it (and the 2 previous 910s I have had) used to do every two days or so ... the weekend is coming though ..
