I think you should go for a Z500. If it is available.
Loads of style.
Else a good old T610. Z600 is too much 'ado'.
Or a Samsing slider phone, but I have noticed that however much girls/women can be actively desinterested in technical aspects of phones, they tend to be very susceptible to brands. But is she already used Samsung I guess it will be ok.

Right well... er... thanks everyone! there seems to be lots of suggestions and my idea of one word answers really didnt take off did it!!?
Well to be honest I am back to square one! At the minute I can get a S700i for £60 all in. Which aint bad, but I'm still working on that. Hopefully get it free. And I am still favouring the S700i. Maybe I could just get it and sell it again or something... dunno.. either way, its more a secondary present, I will get her other stuff too. PLUS on top of that her birthday is the 28th December so many gift ideas needed this time of year!
Thanks all for you thoughts, I think I am swaying toward the S700i though. Any last ditched attempts to disuede me??
