> Why Why cant I SYNC My P910i
Bookmark topic
Look every one I have tried it all.
There is no hardware problem, the syncstation does reconnises that the P910i is connected, and pluged in. But the the PC sync does not.
I have Uninstalled and reinstalled, Ver 3.0.0 and 3.1.1 no diffrence.
I have had enought.
I have installed lots of PDA's, Laptops, Handheld, MP3 players, and lots of other hardware devices this is my job.
But this SE P910i is a pain, I have never ever had to stop or uninstall other software to get hardware to work.
SE should hive sorted this problem a lot time ago.
90% of the calls they recieve is about syncing P9xx.
Is your a solution to this and my problem.
A Smartphone that can not be synced is just a brick in your pocket.
I should have purchsed a XDA 2, and i woulded get this problem.
Yes I ahve installed and XDA, will no problems.

Ok, I was just trying to be helpful!!
What I was suggesting was exactly what you say, the problem has nothing to do with any installed applications, so disabling or uninstalling them will obviously make no difference whatsover. it sounds more like system files, drivers or registry settings that are causing the problem.
I would try running process explorer and hijack this! to find out what's getting loaded at startup and running in the background. You could them remove all unnecessary processes and registry entries to see if it's any of those that are causing the problem.

Sorry, thanks for your help
I'll try the two programs.
Last night I ended each task one by one but no luck
Today I brang my Syncdock into work.
Pluged it into my PC wich has installed MS WIndows 2000, McAvi Virus and sopybot, and what do you think happened
Oh yes it work strate away No problems.
I've done a backup of my P910, installed software.
But I can not do a Firmwire update, but thats not a problem yet.
The problem is getting it to work at home.
Once again thanks for your help

Ouch! As I suspected, there's obviously something wrong with your windows installation at home
Hopefully it'll be something that you can determine and put right with process explorer and hijack this otherwise, as you no doubt know, It's looking like a windows re-install.
At least you know that the phone and sync station are ok, small consolation but good news non the less

It may or may not help. I've been unable to synch for ages. It started with the back up not working, then degraded to the synch station not working and finally wouldn't connect at all. SE said install latest PC Suite, drivers etc which I did- no change.
Today I deceided on the off chance to ditch it all, restart, install the original PC Suite from the CD, restart and voila! everything now works. It may not have bells and whistles but I'm just glad to have vaild conatcts and a recent back up!!

Heh played with this and my P910i..
Nortons really does blow.
With the internet security on I got the same thing, uninstalled it, oh my P910i works fine again.
I did find in a readme a list of the programs that the PC suite uses, try allowing these in nortons and that should do the trick.
(Heaven forbid someone say

tech support was right about the firewall though

)
mRouterRuntime MFC Application (mRouterRuntime.exe)
Phone Connection Monitor Application (audevicemgr.exe)
SCRFS Module (SCRFS.exe)
DXP SyncML Module (DXP SyncML.exe)
BroadCast Proxy Module (BroadcastProxy.exe)
CapMan Module (CapMan.exe)
ArchiveManager Module (ArchiveManagerServer.exe)
