Yes, that seems to be a t6x0 issue. My sister has a t630 and its audio is just too soft. Not a general SE problem though. My old t230's tones are as loud as it gets.

hhmm??? my Z600 is louder than ANY Nokia... Z600 is the same as T610 in spec wise so shud be the same.

@O2: Same specs & all, but those tones are as different as day & night in loudness. We were at a church service & I asked my sis to turn off her ringer. She said we wouldnt even hear it anyway if someone rang. The phone was in her handbag. Shortly, someone did ring her up & the only way she got to know was the t630's vibe alert.

hhmm.... maybe its the quality of the ringtone... so far most of mine polyphonics ringtones are r of a gd quality.. loud&clear.. only some are a bit too low...
