hmmh... i hope they will, but it is just matter of how to replace those icons and button in main firmware... setool now can replace message alert tones, predefined pictures etc... but they all are in FS... so that's how it is done in V800 also... I think decompiling the main firmware and replacing icons and vodafone live! button will be a hard job and I am excited to see who will be the first (Laser or Lead)... but I still think it will be SE
anyway that's my guess only...

yes, but there must be fully SE generic firmware somewhere. i hope the V800 was one of the prototypes lead got a while ago for research. and also i think "3" will release the V800 soon so SE must have made generic firmware otherwise "3" would have to build their own or use voda lol.
i think generic V800 exists somewhere.

what do you make of this? soft key is the only thing remaining? provided are main firmware and raw fs so phone should be unbranded - even icons?

yes I saw that also... i don't know... i would really like that vodafone icons are gone, but somehow doubt it... i guess we'll have to wait and see...
I am pretty sure that icons and live! button are in MAIN part and if icons are changed I don't see a reason for button to stay and vice versa...

this is what I found till now about EU9... it should be these languages: [en/fr/de/it/ar/hu/tr] so the same as EU6, except obviously with less customization... there is no "unbranded" MAIN firmware for V800... maybe there is developer version for Z800 or whatever it will be called, but the phone i don't know the phone's codename so I don't know how to find it out...
