Ok. Back to topic. Is it really the best feature on the phone? I mean, the K700 is a feature packed device and surely there must be more interesting features than the photolight! This message was posted from a T230

Its one of the good features and not necessarily the best and in my experience i found that the LCD display lights up the dark just as good as the LED

yup, it's good enough in the movies as the torch is too bright and sometimes annoying to other viewers.

"Yes it is LED and it is very bright. Very convenient specially during power outages, that's why I placed the camera in my right joystick shortcut so when I need it I just move the joystick to the right and press 5. People get amazed (and impressed) everytime they see it."

Wow thx for the "5" tip i didnt know that.Anyway if you want to impress your frends more then show them a nice button with picture of camera on the top left side of the phone with do the same trick and use joystick for somphing else.

And i think this LED eat 60ma or 100ma tops so with standart battery 700ma it will last for 5hr ! tops (+ camera and phone eat battary too)

I've always thought it was a great idea having a 'light' on your mobile.
With my old Sharp GX20 you could have a whole rainbow of colours if you wanted.

Some monochrome nokias have really bright screens. Don't they! Like the 2100. This message was posted from a T230

LED's are very energy efficient, so I don't think the battery would run out that quick.

Well, i love the light feature of the k700, but i believe it has 3 led's built into it. I was fairly bored one day adn way playing with some polorizers...nehoo its great but does anyone know of anyway to use the light without the camara? The camara seems to suck up the battery power...

Sorry couldn't resist:

Geladrial: 'And to you Frodo i give the light of my k700i, our most precious mobile, may it be a light for you in places where all other lights have gone out.'
