Second that, my Davinci account can't be created cause EMMA's down. Isn't EMMA just SE's distribution server? What EMMA has to do with firmware flashing I don't understand.

hehe, EMMA II has everything to do with the "logger" solution.
The phone is booted by EMMA II i believe, without this connection your phone cannot be unlocked/decustomized etc.

This is what makes cruiser such a special product, no EMMA II connection required.

Ok, I just did the file replace on my K700i and all went well apart from the camera shutter, that is still the same crap sound. Here is the text file I used to upload the files:

deletefile:/tpa/preset/system/sound/messagealert1.mid
messagealert1.mid
/tpa/preset/system/sound/messagealert1.mid

deletefile:/tpa/preset/system/sound/messagealert3.mid
messagealert3.mid
/tpa/preset/system/sound/messagealert3.mid

deletefile:/tpa/preset/system/sound/messagealert4.mid
messagealert4.mid
/tpa/preset/system/sound/messagealert4.mid

deletefile:/tpa/preset/system/sound/messagealert6.mid
messagealert6.mid
/tpa/preset/system/sound/messagealert6.mid

deletefile:/tpa/preset/system/sound/camerashutter.amr
camerashutter.amr
/tpa/preset/system/sound/camerashutter.amr

There is two versions of the camera shutter, an .AMR file and a .MID file so I guess I have to replace the .MID file aswell. Pity, I had a decent .AMR sound file for the camera, now I will have to find a MIDI for it!

As you can see from the text, I replaced message tones 1,3,4 and 6 and they work fine. It's great having custom message tones on the phone.

I just wish I could have changed the camera sound but I am having trouble locating a suitable MIDI that sounds like a camera shutter!

I'm a little confused- what program was this text used with to change to sms alert tones?

holywars...

setool2 will aparently change your sms tones. Altezza_lex also mentions visiting setool.net for more information. If you checkout the forum section there you can see the sort of stuff setool allows you to mess with.
