Have u reset your phone before (master reset - all) ?

There could be more problems - you might not just have noticed it yet! I know a fellow that had your problem a long time ago. Two months later he tried to use the radio (he never used it before) and it didn't work. So, small glitches like corrupted files (screensavers, startup logo etc.) is a SIGN that there could be more important problems in your corrupted firmware.

>solarix;
No, shutdown screen works fine THOUGH it is a shutdown screen put in by Comviq. (And no, I haven't done a master reset.)

>CyberVisitor;
Yes, of course, that's what has been worrying me for a long time now.. Maybe you have read about my troubles with the upgrade at some other topic here, but I have been sitting for days trying to find anything else that could be wrong but everything seems to work fine! I haven't been able to find anything that doesn't work as it's not supposed to in R2AE anyway.

just used seus on my o2 branded k700, it kept re booting if you went near where the preset pics were in the pictures folder, also as soon as i tried to set the start up screen it did the same... tried the recovery and multiple normal updates to no avail, then tried factory reset...now my phone is hung, even resetting power, removing the battery do no good. can a carphone warehouse fix it? i'm sad my phone is now dead.

ok heres MY situation. Ill most likely be buying a k700 with R2L FW. This seems to be a buggy firmware when it comes to updating. It comes with no warrenty (the k7) and i want r2e033 or whatever the new one is. Whats the best thing to do?!

The problem do not rely to R2L only: I've upgraded from R2AA (to R2AE) some days ago and 3 pictures (Sony Ericsson.gif among them..) got corrupted!

The feeling is that whenever I browse the Pictures folder, the cell hungs! Battery removal is the only way to turn it off!

These pictures can be seen (partially corrupted) through BT, but they are undeletable nor overwritable.

Master reset can't do absolutely anything, apart from resuming the right names in case you tried to overwrite them...

One week ago sent to the SE Service Center and now waiting it be fixed...

@paulvince
Do you have multiple character search in phone book? and do you still have the English T9? I lost it during the upgrade online.

my k700i has the same firmware with paulvince's. some minor glitches(although they rarely occur):
1) Phone resets when pressing the camera button.
2) Phonebook bug.
