I think there is a lot of members who qualyfies for having their name mentioned in this topic.
Some members work wit mobile phones every day for a living and are well qualyfied for any discussion about both tecnical and user related issues.
Others are just plain mobile geeks and might actually know more about mobiles than a
tecnical developer.
A few of those, in both categories, are adding a bit of humor to their posts, don't really post that often or actually doesn't have the time to hang around in here (or has been flamed away from Esato! (Yes, I know a couple of cases for a fact)).
We all might know somethig somebody else don't know, it's just a matter of saying it in a way that it's taken seriously.

You make a very good point, I tend to take each post by its merits, but there are certain members that I tend to consider slightly less than helpful.

All i can say is that my goal is to belong in this thread, but sadly, sometimes when posting before 10Žo clock coffee break i might be a bit irritable and toxic in my replies, and thus belonging more to the village eejits crowd
