I think the 3D java and MP3/MP4/3gp support are the best Positive points of the phone. @Cank : we have to take EDGE as a -ve point, coz even the entry level nokia 3220 has it and it costs only 9k here.

@debu only phones with edge here are 3220,6230,9500,6630 until i'm very mistaken. On the other hand there are infinite no of phones...from budget level to expensive ones includin most of nokia smarts+se pxxx series dont so it would be unfair to term it as a disadvantage of the k500.
@shyam and whiz what i meant when i mentioned joystick was not its comfort level but the fact that dust enters it and messes its contacts within months,weeks or sometimes even days. Mine has been workin properly now for a month but my mate's k5 joystick went crazy in just 10 days and then another mate's k7 joystick in 7 weeks. Apparently everybody is havin this problem and there has been a thread bout this here as well. Even my previous t610's joystick required servicin within a month.

Debu is hooked big time on EDGE. IMO, not a big advantage, but since it is better and a gprs phone can have edge, it should be made must in all gprs enabled phones.

But it will make a huge difference while surfing the net thru a pc! So atleast all gprs modem enabled phone should have EDGE. what say?

@gov, @whiz : the reason i'm so into EDGE is that it can give upto 384 kbps. In reality i can get from 200-280 kbps. That is faster then most cable internet we get here, i.e around 128-256 kbps. Bottomline, only 600 bucks per month, airtel unlimited.
