I don't think so. Nokia doesn't seem to support iMelodies or even EMS. Other phones can receive Nokia smart messages, at least my T68 can, but Nokia can't receive EMS from any other phone.
The P800 does support polyphonic ringtones, but I don't think they can swap tones with Nokia. Unless it's a WAV file.

tnx bud for the reply! maybe in mms form i hope so! its just that here in the philippine ringingtone is a culture to consider nokia is widely supported by the operators you can download tones ota unlike ericsson youll receive tones in sms format then do the risk of composing! its my greatest frustration, why not have compatibility? and ericsson tones are shy type like me im getting to like it but let me live confident pls!!!

Im serious John. Dont let the "

" icon undermine it. It really isnt a good phone, especially the joystick. Besides, P800 is gonna be abt 650 euro here in Dubai. Wait for it. U will not regret it. Especially considering the price.
cheers!

Yup, it is THE phone phone to look out for! With much better connectivity(bluetooth, ir), upgradedable memory (memory stick), on phone functions like video playback, image editing, advanced phone book and calendar options, you can hardly go wrong! (Damn, i sound like an

ad!

)
Just wonder how's the os going to measure up.

ojsph- Ericsson's ringtone format (T68i and newer) is an open format, the iMelody format. Nokia's is it's own Nokring.
Furthermore, Nokia doesn't support EMS (Which I think is more useful than MMS, due to the fact that I can send an EMS as a standard SMS) While other phone manufacturers are conforming to EMS, and MMS. Nokia only supports MMS (Which costs the subscriber more BTW)
Ericsson's new composer is the best I've seen so far! It can handle 32nd notes, sync lights, vib, and backlight to music. And it actually shows the note, not some '32b2'. You don't need a PC to compose ringtones, and sending via SMS, IR or Bluetooth is easy.
I was actually surprised that Nokia doesn't have an EMS capable phone. Not even the 7650 supports it. I find EMS fun, and cheap. I can send/receive EMS from my friends on Siemens phones.
