I think one good thing (maybe the only one) camou Nokia is that they have been holding on to the same old connector, at least for the charger, while Ericsson did change theirs a bunch of times during the 90's. Anyone travelling with a Nokia could always just ask anyone for a Nokia charger wild with a Ericsson you had to make sure they had a model compatible with your own to be able to borrow it.
Of course few different connectors makes life easier for the people using the phones.

Call my cynical but SE will change the ports or chragers on the phones only when they have a new batch of "enabled" extras to sell, IMO a mini USB option will help keep SE in the thick of the smartphone world. Companies who have to rely on proprietary connections / hardware soon learn, just look at the U turn Sun Microsystems are doing shipping their hardware with Linux!

honestly i really wud prefer SE change the bottom charging/head phones connector. I hate the pin design.. its too fragile... if its broken its useless.. and unpluggin the pin requires a speacial technique of pushin it upwards.. it wud b preferable if SE implement an all in 1 usb adaptor where u can charge/transfer with juz 1 usb port. which my benq digital camera does.
