Mine's been a bit of a lifesaver! My PC's currently buggered, and I now at least can get online on my elderly laptop, before then I used my P900 for checking my email, emailing a friend for help, creating a thread here to get advice, it's been a great help.
I'm certainly a smartphone fan now, I don't think I'd like to be without one any more, even if I'm not using it as my main phone it won't be far away!

junk, to sync with a local newspaper... I have Mobipocket Reader. One of our major local newspapers here in the Philippines publishes it's content 11pm the night before in 3 different electronic versions... WAP, WWW, and eNews (for Mobipocket Reader) ... so at around 11pm, I just subscribe (for free) to their eNews file, and I get the general sections updated every night. Their WAP & Web site are more complete of course, so I just get the headlines and stuff.
CNN offers a free app download for UIQ devices that has a ticker display on all their major headlines. Just visit CNN.com and look for their mobile news section.

@wiggs: I didn't realise such devices existed, are they legal? Don't see why they shouldn't be but you know what uk law is like...

radar detectors are legal now in uk but still illegal in scotland (as far as im led to belive)
speed camera software is legal ...its only giving you advanced warnings of "ACCIDENT BLACKSPOTS" or so they like to call them ..also the data base of speed cameras are freely available ..even on police websites..
