Wow one year and theres no PTT se phones!!
What gives
This week iv been playin around with a 6280 using PTT its kinda cool, mainly for the kids though, but it would be a nice feature on se phones!

SE will make phones with specific features only if there's a demand from network unlike Nokia who try and influence networks by including features in their handsets that are useless.
Currently there are a handful of GSM networks that support PTT service, if it takes off expect SE to start including in their phones early next year.

Yeah I was thinkin along the same lines, some nokias with PTT last year deemed rather useless then, but now we in SA have the PTT available to us yet we cant use it, although its gonna start growing on users!!!
MXit is starting to introduce it slowly to so I expect it to grow quickly!!

I know that here in Australia Optus was promoting PTT about six months ago, although now it seems non-existent, I don't think I here much about it anymore. I have seen it on The Apprentice though, you know that show with Donald Trump. Anyway, I don't think that there's much use of it anyway.

PTT Has been termed Banned in India...! The only PTT provider was HUTCH-Essar and they have discontinued the service following a ruling by TRAI- Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.

This was done at the Behest of CDMA operators, As India is Still fighting the Spectrum Allocation against the GSM and CDMA Operators.
I read that in The papers a yr back, That was when Tata Indicom and Hutch-Essar had been asked by the courts to remove the PTT service, Since it was an Old news I' really cannot confirm the exact reason-However this is what I remembered, More likely or less the reason was based on this. Maybe Ayush or any of our other Indian Friends can shed some more light...!
The only Two Providers of PTT were : TATA Indicomm ( CDMA)/ Hutch ( GSM)
