Matt, cannot do it in the US, becasue T68 has not been released. However, there are a number of companies that you can find on the web who sell the T68 that will also flash your phone. You should probably contact the seller and ask if they will do it. It cost me some money to have done, but was worth it.

I upgraded to R1C today and almost all my problems disappered (GPRS crashes, phone crashes, IR not working, serial cable not working etc). The only problem I have left now is the 5 hour offset when synching the calendar.

I'm not quite sure I understand exactly what you mean ?

The software is the "program" in your phone. You could compare it to windows.

Sonyericsson keeps on developing better software-versions with e.g. more options/features, better connections (wap, gprs and so on), and you can go to an Ericsson service point/store, and get the newest software in your phone.
The software upgrade is for free
They simply put a cable on your phone, and the newest software is downloaded into the phone.
All your own settings will still be there afterwards.

The latest software for T-68 is R2A.
This software improves e.g. the games, makes the phone work a bit faster, and make the connection to network (gsm/gprs) more stabile.
