gbrooks3 how do u kno if i use div. btw a flash would fix it if the prob lies in software.
james - if u want to flash u need
1. terminator dongle or service cable
2. firmware
3. a flashing prog i would recomend div 8.5 but there are others just as good.

I just found an old thread which talks about a guy who installed this file iconsetwinxp_190 and it screwed up his phone giving it the same symtoms mine had. I seem to remember that i have installed this file not long ago. Reset must have triggered it off. I dont think he ever found a cure. Does anyone know anything about it?

Oh i thought flashing it was going to be easy e.g. 5 min job. Looks like its going back to carphonewarehouse then lol. When i had my P800 a year back i screwed that up aswel lol. I just get carried away with installing cr*p to my phone : )

One more thing this service menu i was wondering whether someone could give me the exact keys i should press to format the phone? e.g because i cant see the screen maybe if someone could tell me exactly what buttons lead me to the formatting option?

How do you know terminator dongle can fix? what if his phone has corrupted PDA chip. Div cannot flash pda. Best to take it to a service centre.

Couldnt get the job dial thingy to work.
Basically i need the enter the phones themes folder but the cradle isnt finding the phone and i cant see the display any other ideas?

I think maybe. If it was gdfs then phone wouldnot power on at all. Most likey fault is in pda area, ut flashing FULL GDFS may repair. Although may screw up the RSA.

I just rang phones4u (where the phone was from) and they are going to sort the phone out. Sending a freepost bag to me which i put the phone in and send it back to them. Then they send it to SE lol i can tell this is going to be a longgggg process.
