My thoughts on these phones... The first Samsung (the one with a 5 or 7 MP camera) looks so much like a camera that i prefer to stick with my cybershot for taking pictures. What I mean is that the phone is just a digital camera that allows you to make phone calls with. I'd rather have a good camera, with memorystick, and eventually use the pics stored (by putting MS in phone) to send them, than having to put my cybershot at my ear just to make a phone call. IMHO a camera in a phone should be small, or else there is no point in having such an option, as the phone will be huge.
The 3GB music phone is interesting, although I always wonder who will actually listen to all of the 3GB of music stored in it. I don't mind having a little less memory but then choosing which songs to upload in my phone. There is one major drawback in however, and that is the cost of MS DUOs...
The Siemens smartphone is a little too big for me (the main reason why I haven't bought the S700 as well) but looks interesting, even if the user interface is designed a lot more poorly than in phones. And with Microsoft you'll probably end up updating every day to have basic features added to your phone (it took Orange and Microsoft 3 or 4 version to release a SPV that actually could compete on the market).

I am interested in hearing your personal thoughts about it...

I agree on the phone camera, that's why I would prefer i300 over the 7 or 5 megapixel camera. (probably i300 is cheaper too) 2megapixel is decent enough (that's why K750 and W800 are 2mp)

But if I don't own a nice dig camera already, I wouldn't mind pay a fraction more to have my phone double as my camera.

3 GB maybe more than you will listen on the road, but many people like huge collection of their songs at hand. Thus the popularity of ipod. Are you a ipod person or ishuffle person? That's a judgment call. But I don't have a ipod yet, so I wouldn't mind a 3 GB drive in my pocket. And more memory is useful with a 2mp camera.

I never had a samsung, nor had I use MS mobile OS before. But I can try. I dunno how stable it will be but I know softwares are easier to find.

more info on i300 (3GB music phone) from mobilereview.com

-integrated hard 3GB drive
-TransFlash format for memory expansion (on top of 3GB!!!)
-1.3-megapixel camera (possible 2 mp when release)
-screen is 262K with the resolution of 320x240 pixels
-a rotational wheel instead of a joystick (ipod like)
-stereo Bluetooth-earphones
-no WCDMA or EDGE services
-Windows Mobile OS
-USB2.0

now if it'll be 2megapixel phone, this might be my next phone. Unless the next PXXX phone tops this one.

I think this phone is a good direction for mobile technology. It will spur a flurry of improvements and innovations on existing technology, which can only be a good thing for the consumer!

I love the candybar form factor and the design is excellent. Look at the thumb rest on the back for when your taking pictures. Cool.
