Yes that reminds me there's guy which has soldier uniform- special forces exactly, looking like truck hit him, immobilised and in bondages, with bruises- true horror, and he begs for money so he could buy medicines.
6 months later I say him again, in the other part of the city, with the same scenario, but now bruises were on the opposite side of the face. :-)

I seldom give money to beggars but I really fell for that one. He looked so pity-provoking, not only I gave him money, but kept thinking whole afternoon bout him.

McDonalds will hire any one and i mean that as long as you have 1 brain cell and one working limb ( it is true ) here in the usa if you really want a job you can get one you just have to try how is it i work 3 but
you (you being a beggar) can't even seem to handle 1 if you want to
i will buy you a second hand suit get you lunch clean you up and drive you to go get a job but no money for booze

In the case I narrated, this fellow looked like someone who had a job but got stranded - and it does happen, you know. Well dressed, good diction, the works. The con must have worked hard to perfect the thing
In any case, no-one has been able to make me part with my money that way again.
PS: A couple hundred naira, not worth more than about US$2
