People who join Esato purely to try a Market scam will do it with the latest phones due to the 'essence of Esato' being phones & this will happen regardless of whether there are non-mcb items FS or not.
Non-mob sales are not going to increase that problem. Maybe if they were making up the majority of sales here but they're not! Non-mob sales are easily the minority
Yup - fair point. So is there anything else to say? Pretty much without exception, we're all in favour of a dedicated forum for non-mobile related sales but laffen, unfortunately, is not and it's his decision, which I think we should respect and peddle our wares elsewhere, that being the case.
Apart from anything else, I would say that laffen has access to the actual stats as to how many people just post in the market threads/how many non-mobile sales there are by comparison etc, and has made this decision for a reason.
Since it's the subject of the actual thread, my opinion is that the situation was (considerably) better before the ruling. But I do think a thread stirring up opinion against the guy who's site this is, is not going to do anyone much good though and has zero chance of leading to a change in policy.

@kruby, as long as an item is non mobile related, it can qualify for the mobile free zone.

I also could say "as long as an item is being sold or requested, it can qualify for a Market zone."

Who says? The holy forum rulebook? Erm... NO
As you can see in the menu on your left side.
It says: "DISCUSSION Forum". I can't find any "FS Forum" in there...
You can discuss things to sell? Don't roll your eyes, you big head! You think you know everything do you? Well, i just clamped you...

There are places like ebay, amazon and blueyonder that people can sell their items on. Esato is a forum for mobile phones. There are other forums i visit which also have a for sale section but are specifically for items related to what the site's about.

Why doesn't it surprise you? Because, yet again, Esato members are getting to big for their boots.
Mobile free zone is a mobile free zone. Not a mobile free zone where you cant sell/discuss anything to sell whatsoever!

Did we reach a gentlemans agreement yet?

Why do we have to reach that?
I just opened a discussion.
Maybe i'll make it easier for you all:
1 - Do you agree with the current situation (FS threads in MPFZ)?
2 - If not, choose one:
a - Do you think it should be forbidden to sell non-mobile related stuff?
b - Do you think a "Non mobile market" section should be opened?
I guess i can't be clearer than that...
My answers:
1 - No.
2 - b.
