Thanks Mike.

Quick question for you guys/gals, i've got a feeling that this person is going to leave me negative feedback, is there anything I can do to stop him/her?

Obvioulsy I can leave them negative feedback as well, but if they leave me a negative, its not going to look to good, as I have only recently started out on ebay.

Contact the buyer and explain it to him/her.

Make sure that you file an Unpaid Item Dispute against him.
You can say that he was from a country you don't ship to.

Ebay will have charged you around 3.4% of the final value so if you make a claim you get that money back. He also gets a non payer strike!

I have had idiots do things like this before! Timewasters!!!

Thanks for you help guys , how will feedback work out then? If I give him a negative he will obviously retaliate and give me a negative?

I've contacted ebay and they have applied a credit to my account.

I have put the phone back onto to ebay, here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6384448347

Hopefully this time, there will be no timewasters!

Cheers

To be honest, as you only have one feedback I would be inclined to dump that user name and start another one..or keep it as a backup.
Trouble is that the person can give bad feedback up to 90 days and just when you think you are safe ... BAM .. in they go.
I had that recently with some female and a A800, she left it over 2 months to tell me the item was faulty via a neg feedback, my first one in over 200 sales.
To say I was annoyed was an understatement.

I have 3 usernames, one for buying, one for selling (so bidders cant see what I am buying off ebay and then selling them at a profit) and one "just in case".

If you neg him he will def do the same back.

I had to close my old account that I had, and it caused me a few problems, I had to change my username, and also change my email address, as I was not able to keep the same one.

I won't leave neg feedback, as I dont want him to do the same, hopefully as I won't leave him any he will see that it was his fault and won't leave me any.

Ebay don't work like that, we all jump in at the last moment to try and get a bargain.
Somebody normally spoils it tho
