I thought that under that licence in the interests of all humankind the middle finger is not party to any agreement as you would not then be able to give it to the software supplier when the first DIGITAL installation failed . rofl.

Ahhh, no. Billy's got that one wrapped up. The middle finger of either hand is free to partake in any activity as long as it results in the successful completion of a license agreement or in someway facilitates the statutory increase in Microsoft's profits.
Anyone who uses their middle finger in an unacceptable way, such as sticking it up in an obscene gesture towards any member of Microsoft's senior management is liable to have it cut off and inputted into a bi-gender, cavenous, internal body part that is normally reserved for output only.
