are you using a firewall? if so, read the following from the SE PC Suite readme file: (start up your firewall app then give each of the mentioned files unhindered network access.)
When using the Sony Ericsson PC Suite the following applications must
be allowed to access the network:
mRouterRuntime MFC Application (mRouterRuntime.exe)
Phone Connection Monitor Application (audevicemgr.exe)
SCRFS Module (SCRFS.exe)
DXP SyncML Module (DXP SyncML.exe)
BroadCast Proxy Module (BroadcastProxy.exe)
CapMan Module (CapMan.exe)
ArchiveManager Module (ArchiveManagerServer.exe)
