my mate (who aint my mate anymore for other reasons) was a lippy kid we was walking home from watching an england match down the pub and we walked past this group of about 10 lads they shouted something at him so he said something back so they came up to us he ran away and left me to get a beating...

the reason i dont talk to him anymore is he tried to set his brother up with my misses, he seemed to think she wouldnt tell me what he was doing so i beat him up, so in a way i got my own back lol

sounds like a plot straight out of a soap opera lol

Last time i cried was b'cos i had a really bad bike accident (slammed straight into the side of a stupid truck at 50 kmph) , my knee fractured and the flesh was just hanging out and i could see the bone inside , i cried at the gruesome sight of it and not because of the pain lol

My yongest son has the Celiac Disease. It's nothing too serious, but knowing he'll allways have this food alergy and will be losing out on a lot as he grows up is heart breaking for a father.
On top of that my oldest son has given us a lot of worries and tears.
He is born with Hydrocephalus and has been in and out of hospital continuosly since he was born in -98.
Being a dad to two children with cronical conditions is a challenge every single day. Seing my 7 year old tying the best he can to keep up with the others the same age as himself, but not being able to, and having my 3 year old asking "Dad, can I eat that", and having to say no him when all the other kids are enjoying a candy bar, is making my hart twist.
It's made both me and my wife use each others sholder to cry our guts out on more than I can count.
Guess I'm a wimp but I cry a lot.

(I'm not having more kids. I don't seem to be able to make them properly )

Hey man, that would be pretty hard to cope with, but remember all the good times you've had with your kids, and how much you love them.

Admire them for their determination in being like the others, but encourage their individuality.

While he might not be able to eat that candy bar, think of those who eat too much, and take so much for granted. Realise that, when your child is older, he/she'll have a sense of restraint that most parents wish for their children, but never see.

Wow, haha, for an 18 year old that was some pretty profound stuff .

God do I know how that feels. There was the REALLY long hill in Hillaries in WA (West Aus) and there was a speed camera at the bottom of it. The limit there was 60, so I was hoping to go faster, and have the camera take a picture. Not a good Idea.

I looked at my speedo (one of those little digital computer things) and it read 69km/h, but as I looked, I ran over a really sandy patch on the concrete, lost traction, went off the path, and there just happened to be a telephone pole (a big metal one ).

Needless to say, I was REALLY glad I was wearing a helmet (cracked clean in 2) and my front wheel was screwed.

But I survived. It was really painful, and yeah, I did cry, but I was 13 .

Edit 2: Are REALLY going to get me started on your new sig? Well, basically, nothing in front of you would hear the sound and, considering you are only going at mach 1 (you said the speed of sound, not faster) you would hear it too. However, if you were going faster, chances are you wouldn't hear it. However, even if you did, the doppler effect probably comes into play somewhere here, but im not entirely sure where. I'd need to do some calculations, and I have exams to study for .

Thanks for the kind words guys.
I guess being in a situation like I am gives you another way of looking at life. I'm not feeling sorry for myself in any way.
I thank higher forces for the gift my kids are. Not everybody are lucky enough to have kids and others have kids with way worse disorders than my kids.
