one of the best methods i found was to do old exam papers. there are only so many types of questions which can be asked for many subjects, and it helps to get into the groove of doing commonly asked questions.
also, the internet can be a pretty good resource for text analyses in english. it also helps if you can drop in a quote rather than just describing an incident, so look for 3 or 4 quotes that can be used to support multiple arguments or themes.

I wouldn't call myself clever, especially compared to some people.
Doing the equivilent of 8 A-Levels at the moment. Not as bad as it sounds though:
-English Language
-Psychology
-Computing
-Physics
-Maths
-General Studies (still counts as a A level

)
-equivilent of 2 As for an NVQ level 3 in aeronautical studies (already passed).
The first of the summer A/S exams is in a little over 2 weeks for me now. Starting to panic really. Absolute load of work to do for computing (coursework module).

i don't do it on time but hey , oh and don't go into exams pissed, i tried that with my Gcse Mock R.E exam as i thought its a mock and only R.E but kinda didn't do very well lol
