> Wow,just got the k700i

Thanx chile.Ur right money for specs,don`t think it can be beaten.Only did I briefly look at the nok 6230,but that is nearly £200 on prepay hear in England.The screen is know ware as good as our K700i.Mucked about with the camera this morning as we had some sun,pictures were better than I expected.

K700's are cool phone's, ive had mine nearly a year now & it still amazes me, I woz afta a dvd disc & cover and i got my m8 2 email the covers 2 me, i recieved the email thru my K700 then transfered the dvd covers from my K700 to my pc and printed them off for a copy of my already owned dvd

Well, hey! I've just gotten my k700i too. I regret for putting that purchase on hold for quite some time now. Had to deliberate between it and some nokia model. Finally decided on k700i and no regrets whatsoever, in fact in many sense, it's the best phone I ever hadd. Yup. Never been so much in love with a phone

K700i users : What do you think will be the 'safest' move to make re: the fone's memory . . . 'left', before it starts going - BERSERK
At the moment, I still have 14.7 MB left with my fone's memory . . . I am planning to just leave, say, - 5 MB ! Will that be SAFE enough

I think just use it sparingly and not take too many pics or vids to make sure there's some memory left (dont know how much exactly)? Gotta bear in mind that after all, a phone is a phone is a phone. I dunno, but then I think ALL phones will become berserk, in some degree or another, when the memory's much used up

But if could anyone enlighten us as to exactly how much memory must be retained to prevent k700i from going berserk, that would be awesome. Maybe someone out there has bad experience in this aspect? Sound judgement is afterall, based on bad experience

My K700i's firmware was already R2L001 when i bought it last November. The firmware's very stable so i'm not planning to update it.
I once had 3mb left and the phone performed just as well. Unless you have a java app that requires a huge amount of virtual memory during runtime, i don't think 5mb will pose any problems. :-)
