I have a 4GB Hitatch Microdrive with my ipaq 2215, its no heavier then a normal CF and not to mention the countless number of times that I have dropped it. These hard drives are made to withsatand shocks/malhandling of daily use. I drop my ipod on an average of 3 times a week. . It's been running perferct for over 8 months. Samsung already has announced 2 phones which are to usedd hdd's and Motorola has announced plan's to buy Hdd's for mobiles form hitachi, nikon has announced plan's to include Hdd's in their future Digital Camera's, Nokia has annouced a hdd based mobile phone already, these things are going to be the future, and if Nokia (#1 comapany) and Motorla (#2 Company) are doing it, i don't doubt that SonyEricsson (#3 company) will do it to. Just my 2 cents.

I would be fine without a HDD. Sucks battery too much and is too fragile. You drop your phone while the HDD is accessing data. It is toast.
