here in our place, network operators come-up with SIM Card that can also hold SMS & Phone Book entry thereby adding additional storage for SMS & Phonebook entry......anyway whats the need to store such number of Short Messages on the phone....

I have just changed from a p910i to a k750i (well, waiting on delivery), atm on my 910 i have 513 messages in my inbox and 413 in my sent items, this is 6 months worth of messages (I get no free msg's, on my old sim, i had 300 free a month, i sometimes used them all). I don't need to store these, i'm just lazy and never delete em, i guess i'd need at most todays and yesterdays messages, but thats never going to reach 100, so for me this isn't a problem. I'd love to know how someone can reach over 100 in a few days.

Remember that some SMS goes over to 2 pages/2 SMS.
Hum, just checked my memory staus and is as follows, I got a 95% warning yesterday so all I did was empty my Sent Items:
Inbox: 169kb 181 items (Mixture of SMS's 1+2 SMS long, Lot's of MMS)
Email: 3kb 1 item
Draft: 2 items
Templates: 136kb 2 items
Sent Items: 6 items
Saved Messages (SIM) 2 items
I too wonder why some people are obsessed with storing so many messages, SMS is great for chatting, many SMS wouldn't contain that much, if any important information. Even if someone sends you a important SMS then save it to your SIM and transfer that info else where.
You have a notes function too
I guess if you love to store your SMS then you have 1000000's of MSN chat logs.
I'm just being lazy at the moment not deleting my messages, as soon as it gets full I just do a 'delete all'. I do miss my Motorola V3 and the auto cleanup!

My phone has currently
Inbox = 111
Sent = 92
Total = 203
Does it depend on wither there are big media messages in the inbox/sent box?
Thanks
Actually, make that 208 msgs now... I thought the limit was 200?
