ChukG, what kinda SE u have?

I have Nokia 6620 works perfectly, with T-zones and
I just bought the SE w800i, t-zones have "text" with blank white page, other wap sites works, but can not surf newspaper pages says page is too big. Smaller sites comes up.

Is Opera Mini out here? I can not download from the website, says only for Norway, Denmark....

I had no problem surfing with 6620's browser.

What kinda Opera u r using?
Thanks.

Hi there, I got the W800i and Opera mini Hi-Fi v.1.0.1520 built 20050823.

I downloaded a couple versions of Opera until one worked. Its freeware so try through Emule. I've bookmarked 3 newspaper already without problem. The font is like "Word Arial 6" but still readable.

I'm kinda giving up on the TMobile T-Zones. Maybe they will come back one day. I just hope the T-Mobile 5.99 unlimited wap includes all the browsing through Opera !

One more detail, I can't use the embedded Sony browser or the W800 search application. I have to go directly to the WAP bookmarks I made in the Internet settings.

@ChuckG... Tzones hasnt worked on T-mobile using the latest SE phones... Tmobile doesnt support those phones, therefore, Tzones doesnt recognize... Blank page is all u get... i was able to get it once or twice and that was a miracle (K750i).. since then im unable to get tzones (it could very weel be a setting issue of Tmobile end issue). im starting to realize how crummy Tmobile is!!.. they are breaking away from SE phones as well (rumors) !!..

the TmobileWeb ($5.99) includes unlimited web via SE default browser or Opera.. no worries!!..

Dear ********

Thank you for contacting T-Mobile regarding whether T-Mobile will carry
the Sony Ericsson K750. I understand how important this is for you, and
I can definitely assist you today!

At this time there is no official information that we are planning on
carrying it. What I can suggest is that if you really want it, as long
as it is a GSM 1900 MHz compatible device, and is t-zones compatible,
you could buy one that is unlocked for use with any provider and put your
T-Mobile SIM card in it. It would be a little more expensive since you
wouldnt get a discount; Id guess about $50 more than if we did carry
it. We would probably need our Technical Services Group to send an
update to the phone to configure it for use with our t-zones so that
picture messaging and downloads would work.

If you have any other questions or concerns regarding this particular
issue, please reply to this message, making sure to reference case #
000000; if you contact us with a separate issue, please use our website
and create a brand new case number. Alternatively, you can call our
Customer Care Department at 1-877-778-2106.

Thank you for being a Valued T-Mobile Customer!

Sincerely,

Matthew K.

Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. My name is Dave and
it will be my pleasure to assist you. I can appreciate the importance
of wanting to be sure that your phone will support T-Zones so I will be
happy to help you with your request.

We have a list of phones that do not support T-Zones. The Sony Ericsson
D750/K750 is not on that list so it should be able to handle T-Zones,
especially with it being a newer phone. The fact that it is a newer phone
though, could also be the reason it is not on that list. That list was
most recently updated on 01/26/2006 so the list should be current.

I just used the SE configurator and T-Zones does seem to work on my W800. Google Local for Mobile works, Opera Mini works with any page I feed it.. what I'm confused about is if T-Mobile's T-Zones is only WAP, or WAP and GPRS, and what exactly the difference is between WAP and GPRS..
