its a bug mate! the k750 don't play the full gifs either at times. the speed of the k700 was just right, it displayed the gif at the speed it intended to be. i ain't startin bad rumours ok, just statin the facts
Umm no, the speed of the K700i was not just right. It did play GIF files far too fast. I tried this gif on my K700i and K750i:
On my K700i, it plays about 2x faster than it does on my pc screen, and about the same versus my K750i.
My K750i on the other hand plays it at the same speed as my PC, which IMO makes the K750i better. On my K700i, the animation is over and repeating far too fast that it just strobes.
Btw, i just tried the nocturne picture on both my K series, and it played about the same speed on both. IMO that blows your point of view out of the water roopi.

ok etaab what firmware you got on your k700? just tried your gif on both fones an k700 plays same speed as pc but k750 is slightly slower (noticeable). the k750 does have minor bugs and (in my humble opinion!!) gif playback is one of them, which will be sorted out in the next firmware release (i hope). try movie9 gif from my last link as a comparison...

The point is the phones do not play complex GIF's at the correct speed. This goes for most models, not just the K7's. Until the phones are capable of playing GIF's such as Nocturne at the correct speed (i.e. no lag) then topics like this will exist!
BTW, anyone notice with the nocturne GIF that it plays at the correct speed in thumbnail view, signaling to me that its not capable of playing complex GIF's in fullscreen mode. Could be processor or just software, only time will tell on that one!

My point is that we dont know whether it is the K750i that plays them slower than they should be, or the K700i plays them faster than they should be or normally.
My K700i uses up to date firmware AFAIK.
IMO the K750i plays GIF files fine, i didnt like the way my K700i plays them too fast to even see half the animation.

if the gif is playing too fast then the frame rate can always be slowed down using a gif editor package. but if your happy with the gif speed on the k750 then there's nothing i can add to that, be happy!
