Yes I may have replied to your point but it was a general point to cover all the posts that were talking about cheap imports.
I would love to know more about your ebay purchase as I have just scoured ebay myself and the only euro ones I can find for the equivalent sandisk 1gb pro duos are selling for about 109euro plus 14euro shipping - but every one I found ships from USA and not from within the EU at all? If the one you bought from ship to UK too it might be cheap, but I still refer you to my other main point --- that you would not be able to enforce a warranty claim for an imported item from another country if it goes tits up.
No doubt one of the reasons for the cheap price is that when they sell abroad they do not have the worry of having to provide the after sales service you would expect in your own country. I'm afraid it's always been that way with grey imports, EU or otherwise. Even if you went direct to the manufacturer they would have no legal obligation to help you - it would all depend on how helpful they wanted to be, and I would rather have the law on my side avery time. Unfortunately, in my experience many retailers here in UK will only go as far as the law makes them, and I just can't believe that other countries are any different in the age of greed.

Well they do provide a 5 year warranty and the new price is 2 EUR higher than what I told you: I bought mine 93.95 EUR + 10.90 EUR shipping to European Union, now the price is 95.95 + 10.90, still that's about 70 pounds... Here's the link:

hmmm...
pleased if it worked out ok for you but, and even though i had to babelfish it (meine deutch ist nicht sehr gut!), i think i'd still pass as that £10 saved might not turn out to be the bargain it looked in the long run.
Just out of interest, there are a lot of OEM cards on ebay, and as this one didnt seem too clear on whether it was a full retail packaged version (in the awkward sandisk rock-hard-plastic-style) or not, was yours?

there are so many 1gb mem cards on ebay at the moment. they range between 60-70.
anyone had experience of buying from a HK seller?
