> Looking for London street maps on K750i
Bookmark topic
Well, zooming works for me when I view the image and flip it to Horizontal mode. But I can't zoom in portrait. Has anybody tried this? I might just be lucky and have the old firmware of course.
Now, IMPORTANT QUESTION: Has anybody pasted together the entire London A-Z map into one TIFF or JPG file? If so, will you share? I know I'm just being lazy here, but if someone's already done it, it would be a great 'public service' to share, no?
It would still be better if you could also search the map as you can on Symbian 60 city map apps, but just having the map in phone would be the next best thing.

You cannot zoom in portrait mode on any firmware version AFAIK.
If you want a map, make one, it literally takes about 15 minutes to do.

Its probably not a good idea to recommend Googles maps - they are copyright.
Besides, IMO Googles maps are rather basic. They tend to only show roads, highways and place names.
Other map sites show more, such as places of interest, landmarks, contours, height and local vegetation.

I have R1J002, and several train routeplans as images in a normal folder I created on the memorystick, and I can zoom on them and any other picture from any folder when in landscapemode. Doesnt need to be in the camerapictures folder.
Am I misunderstanding you ??

No you're certainly not.
I am in fact a complete blithering idiot. I've just checked my phone right now and i am able to zoom in on pictures..
I must have been looking at animated gif images only or something (i recently moved all pictures into folders: wallpapers, contact pics, others, except for animated pictures which i've left remaining in the standard folder).
d'oh !

To simply clarify then, you cannot zoom on animated pictures.
So people, do not make your maps animated with little trains n'stuff.
