it's basically that my one has a free view box built in and a CAM card slot on the top left. And it's design is slightly different.

Actually the only differences are minor aesthetics and sound processing. They both end in D and are both integrated freeview models

Did you manage to test drive the Panasonic TX32LXD50 LCD, only I have been possibly tempted to go for an LCD or Plasma?

from what I understand Samsung's been in the game for ages now and this LCD is their 5th revision, so you have to know that they've got some experise.
Their options on the tv are amazing.
The integrated CAM slot is usefull, and the amount of ports is higher than any other LCD I've seen.
What's handy is that I can just use it as a normal monitor and plug in my pc normally.
The Hitachi is fairly new I've seen their version but I trust Hitachi.
In Japan their goods are usually high quality.
I think that they have the best LCD backlight (if not with a slightly blue tint in white scenery)
The Panasonic had a nice smooth picture, but the backlight seemed weak to me.
Both the Panasonic and Samsung have Light sensors which is nice and usefull.
Overall, I felt that it was the best since it's resolution was higher than the Panasonic (if I'm not mistaken)
At the end of the day, the higher the resolution the better.
You have to make sure that they support HD out the box or if you need an upgrade.
The toshiba's was around 400 pounds, the hitachi was around 100 pounds.
And the Samsung was supposed to need little if not any upgrade at all.
