Update went through without a hitch, but I can't say that I see a single difference! I was hoping that the update would make the phone a bit nippier, but it still seems noticably more sluggish than my P900 was. Simple things like opening control panel seem to take an age on the 910 compared with the 900.

You guys keep killing applications from memory wich were not designed to be killed by the user, destroying the original concept of the designer of the phone and the OS!!

And still you have the nerve to complain the phone is slow starting those applications?
Contro Panel is pretty fast!!

If you are one of those using the Flip-Close FLUSH of SMan, put these applications in the Exception list in SMan and you'll see the phone becomes much faster:

- Messages
- Contacts
- Control Panel

And every other application you use freequently.

Have fun

Is this firmware just for P910i or it can be done on P900 as well?

Unfortunately as far as SonyEricsson is concerned, the P900 is a dead phone.
No more bugfixes, no new applications, ever.

I don't use SMan, it's just clear that from a fresh startup, my P910 takes far longer to get into control panel than my P900 did, and seeing how similar they are, it's pretty odd!

Totally agree with you!

I've upgraded my P910i to the latest firmware, and everything is perfect.

Adding frequently used tasks to Sman is very useful indeed.

Cheers,

I was going to look and see if my firmware needed an update but my phone has "organiser" R4A10 and the update site seems to have a version called R4A01 logic tells me mine is a later version ( I am assuming the organiser denotes what version of firmware is being used?) I am a bit confused and not sure if there is any benefit in upgrading at present or if indeed at all. Any advice gratefully recieved

@spielo

Add

- Messages
- Contacts
- Control Panel

to the Autostart-Others of SMan.

Successfully reupdated my P910a last night. I updated with this fw the first time it was released and it screwed my phone up. I sent my phone into a service center and the put an OLD firmware back on my phone, like R2___ something. With that fw I had tons of crashes. Hopefully this one will be more stable.

Hey y'all,

I just want to ask, when you press "1" on the keypad does it still give you the "space" as the first character? I upgraded mine and it does. The previous version put "." as the first character when you pressed "1". I restored my backup, but it didn't give me the "." Any thoughts guys?
